Veterinary Surgery

We offer a variety of surgical procedures for dogs, cats and other animals in the New Ulm area using advanced surgical protocols and stringent safety procedures.

In the course of each surgery, a dedicated member of our surgical team will administer anesthesia for your pet and continuously monitor them throughout the procedure. During and after the surgery, we will also provide your pet with pain management.

Following your pet's surgery, our two major priorities are pain management and monitoring to ensure a safe and speedy recovery for your animal. Our vets will also provide you with instructions for at-home care.

The Surgery Process

We know that the prospect of bringing your pet in for veterinary surgery can be daunting or even frightening. Rest assured that we only recommend veterinary surgery when it is in the best interests of your four-legged friend.

We will make sure that you completely understand why we are recommending surgery and that you are completely comfortable with making the decision to move ahead with a procedure.

Surgical protocols at our clinic include:

Pre-surgical assessments. We will confirm the specifics of your procedure and conduct a physical examination of our patient, making sure blood tests and any other diagnostics have been completed and reviewed by our vets. This way we will determine if your pet faces any anesthesia-related complications before putting them under.

Dedicated surgical suites. Surgeries are performed in a dedicated surgical suite. We follow strict sanitation protocols to prevent infection and cross-contamination.

Sterile packs and equipment. We carefully clean, wrap, and sterilize our surgical instruments and equipment prior to every surgery.
